S-BIO is a division of Sumitomo Bakelite Co., Ltd. (a pioneer in plastics with products used for a wide-ranging applications such as IT components and material, high performance plastics and quality-of-life product). S-BIO in US operates as a part of Vaupell Holdings Inc., a group company of Sumitomo Bakelite Co., Ltd. S-BIO’s main product and services fall into two categories: glycan analysis related services and products, and high performance labware for cell culture applications.
In August, 2014 Sumitomo Bakelite Co., Ltd. acquired the glycan analysis business of Ezose Sciences Inc. The acquisition of Ezose’s business expands the global presence of Sumitomo Bakelite Co., Ltd. and incorporates Ezose’s GlycanMap® technology, which complements S-BIO’s existing glycan analysis products and services.
S-BIO has established a glycan analysis laboratory and product distribution center in Hudson, NH (Boston area).
